2013 OSHA OIL & GAS SAFETY STAND DOWN - REGION VI In response to the recent rise in oil field operations fatal accidents, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in partnership with the Region 6 STEPS Network is requesting all Oil and GAs Exploration and Production companies participate in a voluntary safety stand down. Starting in January 2013, following their local STEPS kick-off meeting, industry companies across Region 6 can commit to voluntarily participate in the OSHA Region 6/ STEPS Safety Stand Down. The opportunity to participate in this Region-Wide Stand Down will continue until March 1, 2013.
