2013 OSHA OIL & GAS SAFETY STAND DOWN - REGION VI In response to the recent rise in oil field operations fatal accidents, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in partnership with the Region 6 STEPS Network is requesting all Oil and GAs Exploration and Production companies participate in a voluntary safety stand down. Starting in January 2013, following their local STEPS kick-off meeting, industry companies across Region 6 can commit to voluntarily participate in the OSHA Region 6/ STEPS Safety Stand Down. The opportunity to participate in this Region-Wide Stand Down will continue until March 1, 2013.

TIMELINE FOR THE STAND DOWN

January 2013 Promote the Stand Down at the STEPS Network monthly meetings

January 8-January 31, 2013 Companies access www.oshastanddown.org website and review stand down materials and forms

February 1-March 1, 2013 Companies complete the stand down and record the results. Activities conducted and reported prior to the March 31, 2013 deadline will be included in the final report

March 31, 2013 Final stand down reports are completed and filed electronically at www.oshastanddown.org or via fax to UT Arlington 817.272.2556
